Sensory Bin for Toddlers
Toddlers love to play in the sand, so for this activity we brought the sand indoors and created a mini monster truck arena. This sensory bin will be a favorite for your toddler who loves Monster Jam Minis.
For this toddler activity we used the Lakeshore Learning Mold & Play Sensory Sand Set and crushed car molds and ramp molds from two different Monster Jam playsets.
This is not a sponsored post. Monster Jam, Spin Master, and Lakeshore Learning have no idea who I am.
This is a great indoor sensory play idea for toddlers on a rainy day or any day.
Other ways you could create your own Monster Jam Mini arena, is you could buy the items separately. Keep reading to learn how you could do this.
To DIY this mini sensory bin arena, you would need:
- A shallow plastic bin with a lid (the one from Lakeshore Learning in the pictures is approximately 13”L x 10”W x 3”H)
- Some kinetic sand
- Plastic crushed car molds, we got ours from the Monster Jam, Ultimate Arena Playmat & Storage that comes with three plastic crushed car molds and two plastic ramp molds.
- Plastic ramp molds we got ours from a set simiar to the Monster Jam El Toro Loco Monster Dirt Starter Set that also comes with a 1:64 scale truck and 8oz of Monster Dirt Kinetic Sand.
Alternatively, Monster Jam also has a Monster Dirt Arena 24-inch Playlet with 2lbs of Monster Dirt that you could get as well. But that one does not come with a lid. An interesting thing I learned is that Spin Master, the same company who makes Monster Jam trucks and Minis actually makes Kinetic Sand and the Monster Dirt that comes with this playset.
Your toddler will love crushing kinetic sand cars with their Monster Jam Minis. You may need to help younger toddlers with creating this arena, or have an older child help them set it up.
This sensory bin Monster Jam Mini arena is fun for little kids and imaginary play.
